# Updates

Admins see which versions the organization runs under **Organization**, then **Updates**.

| Row | What it shows | Who updates it |
| - | - | - |
| KolaOS agents | The agent version on each server. | You, with **Update** on each server. KolaOS updates the servers of KolaOS Cloud. |
| AI gateway | The agent version on the AI gateway. | It updates itself. KolaOS updates the AI gateway of KolaOS Cloud. |
| Incus | The Incus version each server reports. | You, on your own servers. |
| Workstation agent | How many workstations run the newest agent, and whether **Automatic updates** is on. | Each running workstation updates itself when it's idle. You can also use **Update** for the running workstations. |
| CLI and Desktop | The newest version. | Each person, with **Download**. |

**Update all** asks for every update you can make on the page at once. An update restarts the agent, and open sessions reconnect.

A workstation updates itself to the newest release once that release has reached every KolaOS server and AI gateway, and only after 5 minutes with no terminal input, no working agent and no IDE, SSH or preview traffic. An agent that is working finishes its turn before the agent restarts. A stopped workstation gets the update after it starts and is idle. Turn off **Automatic updates** in the **Workstations** section to pause these updates for the whole organization. An update that is already queued still runs, and **Update** still works while the updates are paused.

An update that can't start, because its server or workstation stopped responding for 30 minutes or because it waited 24 hours, shows as **Skipped**. A skipped update doesn't hold back the next one.

Select **Changelog**, or the number of new releases next to an agent row, to read what changed in each release. Releases newer than the oldest agent you run are marked **New**.

Use the refresh button next to the page title to check for new versions.
